One of the main issues I have faced in my studies is managing distractions. I have found that my phone is an extreme distraction that often inhibits my ability to pay full attention or complete a task quickly when I feel the urge to check my messages or social media. This problem was worsened by online learning, where now my phone was within my immediate reach and I had to hold myself accountable while watching lectures on my laptop. In addition to my phone being a distraction, my bed also became a rather large distraction during virtual learning, where I felt extremely tempted to complete work while lying comfortably in bed. Unfortunately, this issue was worsened in the past year with online learning, where I was constantly surrounded by distractions while studying. At the beginning of the year, I had set a boundary for myself, where I would not do school work in bed. By the end of the school year, I felt so burned out and tired that I eventually caved to this bad habit while studying for final exams. This effected my ability to focus on schoolwork, while also effecting my quality of sleep at night. If I were to create a better solution for my problem, I would try going to study in a room that does not have a bed so that the temptation isn't there, if possible. As for the distraction of my phone, I did come up with a strategy that was fairly effective. In order to optimize my focus, I would set a timer for about 15 minutes, where I would study and work on school projects. Once the timer I finished, I would then be able to go on my phone for a break or get a snack for about 5 to 10 minutes (with the use of the timer). I would repeat this cycle throughout study periods, instead of trying to work for hours on hours and getting distracted. I would suggest putting your phone across the room or in a drawer out of sight when watching lectures so that the temptation is completely removed.<\/p>\n"},"library":"H5P.AdvancedText 1.1","metadata":{"contentType":"Text","license":"U","title":"Untitled Text"},"subContentId":"1419d29e-2e1c-4035-ae9a-419fce2523c5"},"title":"Finding a Solution"},{"content":{"params":{"text":"

I believe that this issue is not spoken about enough.
