Click into the case law database in Westlaw (\"Cases\" on the homepage) or Lexis (\"Court Decisions\" on the homepage).<\/li>\n\t
Use the advanced button near the search bar to pull up the advanced search form.<\/li>\n\t
Enter as much information about the case as you can into the form using the appropriate fields. For example, if you know the case you are looking for is at the Ontario Court of Appeal, you should enter the name of the court into the box labelled \"Court\". Enter any names of parties into the \"Case Name\" field.<\/li>\n\t

1. If possible, navigate to the relevant jurisdiction under \"Primary law\". You may also navigate into the subsection for the specific court, board, or tribunal that heard the case if you already have that information.<\/li>\n\t
2. Enter as much information about the case as possible into the \"Document text\" search bar. You can also enter any party names into the \"Case name\" search bar at the same time. Conduct your search.<\/li>\n\t
3. In your results, navigate to the \"Cases\" tab.
