Designing with Intent (Interactive Book)

Description

This learning object is intended for students within the BA and BEd program at OntarioTech to help them learn how to design accessible presentations. The learning objectives are:

  • Understand the importance and benefits of using accessible design when creating presentations
  • Implement design choices (e.g. colour, font, layout etc.) to support the accessibility of digital presentations
  • Create digital presentations that are compatible with digital accessibility tools such as close-captioning or screen readers.

We recognize that it is important to have inclusive content that is accessible to everyone; thus, we have developed this book in a way that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability (screen reader compatible) and adheres to many of the available accessibility standards and guidelines.

This interactive book contains 5 modules which will take you approximately 1.5 hours to complete.
