TRC Calls to Action

Description

This H5P item is an accordion style of vertically stacked expandable Calls to Action as set out by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. In Grade 10 Health Care (TPJ 20), students are asked to describe social trends and health care issues relating to children and adolescents and as my specialty is primarily focused on Traditional Healing Methods, I decided to put further the focus on (C2.1) Indigenous child and adolescent health issues from recent media coverage. Since the Calls to Action specifically address (C2.2) current issues related to the delivery of health care services in Canada. I felt it necessary to create a tool to help students navigate through those recommendations laid out by the TRC is a simpler format. In the workforce and when looking at Indigenous issues in Canada, students will need to be aware of their roles and responsibilities in the pursuit of reconciliation.
