  Choose one of the ideas below to implement this week. If you don\u2019t like these, but have an idea of your own, check with your teacher for approval before you begin. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n
  Increase Your Physical Activity:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

  Increase the number of steps you take each day by at least 500 steps.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t
  Take the stairs instead of the elevator at least 5 times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t
  Instead of looking for a parking spot closest to a building\u2019s entrance, choose to park farther away at least 5 times. (This also leaves those close parking spots for those who really need them!)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t
  Instead of driving, walk or ride a bike for regular trips such as going to class or work, taking your children to school, etc.) if it is close enough. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t

  Consider implementing a \u2018no devices\u2019 time at home, such as when eating meals or within an hour of bedtime (the light that comes from a smartphone or tablet can interrupt your sleep patterns!)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t\t
  If you have access to your work\/school emails or files from home, commit to ending your workday at a reasonable time; distinguish between work\/school and personal time and don\u2019t check work\/school emails in your personal time or days off.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t\t
  Turn off notifications for any app or platform if it is not critical for you to get the information quickly (such as Facebook, Instagram, news apps, etc.). This not only protects you from constant distractions, but it can also reduce your stress level since you are not constantly bombarded with information.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
  Take Care of Your Health:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

  Ensure that you and your loved ones are vaccinated against common illnesses and diseases.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\n\t

  If you are unsure about the safety of vaccinations, research these using reliable sources, so you are making informed decisions.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n\t
  If you haven\u2019t seen your health-care provider lately, make an appointment for a check-up and to get screened for health issues, especially cancer.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t

  If you do not have a health-care provider, look for free health screenings or clinics in your area and take advantage of these services.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n\t
  Find out what health coverage you and\/or your family are eligible for through any programs related to your status in the country.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\n\t

  For example, you may be eligible for federal health benefits, or as a college student, you may be eligible for student benefits. Take advantage of these benefits to support the physical health, mental health, and well-being of yourself and your family.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t<\/ul>\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n
  Ensure Responsible Use of Medications and Chemicals:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

  Check your home for prescription medications that may be accessible to your children. Lock them in a safe place and return expired\/completed medications to your pharmacy for proper disposal to keep them out of our landfills and water supplies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>\n\t
