One of the goals of this course is to gain a deeper understanding of yourself as a leader. This means identifying your strengths and areas to develop further. From this analysis, you'll be able to create a Leadership Development Plan which you'll submit with your Final Paper. This paper is due very soon!<\/p>\n\n

Use this form to help create your first draft development plan. To save your work, you need to use the export tool at the end. <\/strong>So, you may wish to do a quick draft using this online tool - export your work - and continue working on it in Word. And, you are free to create your own document instead of using this tool. I do not see this version of your plan. I will only see the final one you submit with your paper.<\/p>\n\n

Specific<\/strong> - what will the goal accomplish? By when?<\/p>\n\n
Measurable <\/strong>- how will you know you achieved your goal? Scores on a rubric? Feedback from a colleague?<\/p>\n\n
Action Oriented<\/strong> - what actions will you introduce to bring about the change you want.<\/p>\n\n
Realistic<\/strong> - is it possible? Have you chosen activities that stretch you a little but are also very possible for you to complete?<\/p>\n\n
Time Bound<\/strong> - when will you complete each action item?  <\/p>\n\n
Here's an example of a SMART Goal about improving presentation skills.<\/p>\n\n
I will improve my audience engagement scores when presenting by looking directly at the audience, adding personal stories to my talk and boosting the excitement in my tone of voice. I will accomplish this by the end of this term.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n
