DELEGATIONS
Any resident may decide to delegate to a city committee. To lessen the intimidation factor of going into an unfamiliar setting, with a lot of seemingly arcane procedures, knowing the layout can remove some of the uncertainty and allow you to focus on your presentation or observing the session.
LAYOUT
The council seats are arranged in a "horseshoe" shape. Councillors or committee members sit around the open semi-circle during council and committee sessions. There are dedicated seats in the centre of the horseshoe for City Clerks. Public seating on the east and west have a separate seating area in the first row for (on the west side) Media and (on the east side) City Staff.
ENTERING THE COUNCIL CHAMBER
There's an accessible entrance via the central glass sliding doors (behind the Delegation Podium) or stairs to either side of the accessible entrance leading up to the back of the public seating (west and east).
