ASIP-PM2-21 Gantt Chart Terminology

Description

A Gantt chart is a visual representation of project tasks scheduled over time. It is a useful way of showing what work is scheduled to be done by a specific deadline, during a specific set of days. It helps project managers and team members view and track the start dates, end dates, dependencies, and milestones of a project schedule in one simple stacked bar chart. It also helps you to see where there is flexibility in the timeline and where a failure to meet one deadline will result in failure to complete the entire project on time (ProjectManager, n.d.).

Scenario: Let's explore a few key terms that you will often encounter with Gantt charts.
