ASIP-PM1-4 Stages of Team Development

Much like how a project goes through phases, a team also goes through phases. One of the most prominent theories is the Tuckman model, or Five-Stage Team Building Model. In this theory, the stages of team development are: Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing, and Adjourning.  Effectively navigating these phases can increase team productivity and allow your team to reach its goals with greater ease.

Scenario: Take a minute to reflect on the Five Stages of Team Development. Before flipping each card, try to recall what happens at that stage, then think about the groups or teams you are currently in or have been in, and consider how you have experienced this stage in action.
