Sensory rooms and programs require an advocate(s) to ensure that equipment is maintained, logged, fixed and/or replaced. It is recommended that you and your agency come up with a list that reflects the equipment and items in your own sensory space. To get you started with this process please see below as an example of the areas that should be included in any maintenance plan. It is important to note that a comprehensive plan should include the following aspects and should start by asking the question “who is responsible for”:
