- Bodily tissues can be donated 12-24 hours after death. One <\/span>donor can improve the lives of up to 75 people in need of tissue transplants through means such as sight restoration, improvement of mobility, and burn healing through grafting <\/span><\/li>\n\t
- The eligibility criteria for tissue donation are much less stringent than those of organ donation. Even the elderly and those who didn't receive ventilatory support (i.e. BiPap) before death may be eligible to donate <\/span><\/li>\n\t
- Ontario only meets about 10% of its demand for tissues needed for transplantation<\/span><\/li>\n\t
- Ontario currently has an opt-in system of organ and tissue donation<\/span><\/li>\n\t
