Rubric Accordion and Image Hotspot Activity

Description

The following rubric activity is to showcase the Rubric for eLearning Tool Evaluation in practice. This rubric was created by Lauren Anstey and Gavan Watson from the University of Western Ontario as a way to determine if a new tech tool should be used in a course.

This activity is a reflection of the following scenario:

Professor Nigel Eng is looking for ways to engage his F2F, synchronous, and asynchronous students (HyFlex) in each week’s lesson. He heard from a colleague about an interactive slide deck platform called NearPod and wants to look into the software more before adopting it. He is going to use the University of Western Ontario’s Rubric for eLearning Tool Evaluation to identify the viability of this tool. Professor Eng will apply the rubric to his third-year psychology class, which has 36 students this semester.
