Terminology in Indigenous Health & Education

This H5P item is a fill in the blanks of Common Terminology in Indigenous Health and Education. In Grade 10 Health Care (TPJ 20), students are asked to describe and identify (A2.1) factors that affect personal health and well-being of children and adolescents and to demonstrate an understanding (B4.4) of common health care terms. Since my teaching is focused using Indigenous perspectives and understanding Indigenous Health, I made the health care terminology Indigenous focused as well. This will be a great tool to use at the beginning of a unit to gauge a student’s prior knowledge to know if more focus on key terms needs to be done at the beginning of each lesson moving forward.
