Availability <\/strong>is the number of rooms out of your inventory that can be sold. <\/li>\n\t
Booking Channels<\/strong> are methods by which guests can book your rooms. <\/li>\n\t
Selling Rules and Restrictions<\/strong> are conditions you put on the sale of your room. These can include qualifications required to get a discounted rate (ie: having to book at least a week in advance), conditions in order to be able to book (ie: minimum of a 2 night stay) or limitations on when and how a guest can book (ie: The hotel will not accept reservations arriving on June 19th. However, new reservations that arrive on another date and stay over June 19th will be accepted - aka: \"Hotel is Closed to Arrivals\".).<\/li>\n\t

A branded hotel is a hotel that is part of a larger chain such as Marriot, IHG or Best Western. An independent hotel typically does not have a brand associated with it, hence why it's indepent. However, many brands are now trying to expand their portfolios by creating \"Soft Brands\". These soft brands allow hotels to maintain their independence with few demands from the brand, but it also allows them to connect wtih the immense distribution power of a brand. For example, The Water Tower Inn is an independent hotel, but we've bought into Best Western's Premier Collection designation.
