1. Messenger RNA (mRNA)<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Messenger RNA is a single stranded RNA, formed in the process of transcription that carries the genetic information from the DNA molecule to produce proteins. A good way to remember messenger RNA is to imagine it as a carrier molecule of genetic instructions that will guide the process of translation. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

2. Transfer RNA (tRNA)<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Transfer RNA is another type of RNA molecule that is mainly required during protein synthesis. As you can see in the figure, it is a cloverleaf or a T-shaped molecule that has many loops in its structure. These loops specify the bonds formed between the nucleotide bases of tRNA. TRNA molecule has an amino acid attachment site at the top and an anti-codon sequence at the bottom.
